We compile appropriate protocols at the national level and formulate and seek commercial acceptance of quality standards for SBF.
Our Strategic Objectives:
To adopt uniform SBF protocols that can apply to national conditions.
To create a complete, public database with SBF and solid biomass properties and characteristics.
To formulate and seek the commercial acceptance of quality standards and voluntary guidelines for SBF.
DR. ARTEMIO CARRILLO PARRA
Institute of Forestry and the Wood Industry, Juárez University in the State of Durango (ISIMA, UJED).
Born in Linares, Nuevo León, in 1968, he earned a bachelor’s and master’s from the Autonomous University of Nuevo León, and a Ph.D. from the Institute of Wood Biology and Technology from the University of Göttingen, in Germany. He has advised 10 bachelor-level theses and 12 at the master’s level as well as eight doctoral theses.
He has published 25 articles in JCR magazines and has been cited 29 times in Scopus and 42 times on Google Scholar. He has been a member of the National Research System since 2009 and is currently a Level 1 researcher.
His main areas of research are molecular wood biotechnology, wood physics and chemistry, and wood products and technology. He is a member of the Academic Body (being formed) in Natural Resource Management and Sustainability.
